I’ve recently stumble upon a very interesting website called Polyvore. The site lets u assemble you own moodboard’s as i call it for you outfits of choice. Please visit the site and follow the simple instructions on how to use the site and have fun. I did and i can’t get off it since.

Above is the two choice that i have made for myself for my brothers dinner function next month.. most likely i will go with the first choice altough i must say the second choice is really much cooler. But it is easier to put together the first choice. we’ll see how it goes next month. Until then i’ll be on Polyvore playing away……

I recently stumbled upon a lovely voiced songbird called kokokaina who happens to be another youtube prodigy. Check out her youtube page and give her songs a listen. Altough i’ve heard of her name some while ago, i regret not listening to her songs earlier. It’s just so soothing to listen to her melodies that carry me away. Her songs are nothing complicated and has some really good lyrics i think many of us can relate to. Have a listen to her songs for yourself.. let her carry you away with her sweet soft melodious rhythms.

If you do give her a listen, let me know what do you think. I’d really appreciate if you could suggest some good listening materials that is not the everyday mainsteam pop or rnb boring stuff. Something truely eclectic, bizzare and out of this world.

A man in this Zodiac will has a pair of round big  beautiful eyes, a nice structure jaw line. He is a good listener and can  understand everything easily and clearly. He can guess what you will say before  you even say it. He often shakes his head or touch his hair. He is a big built,  but he will tend to have a small ear. After 2 days on my lemon detox diet, i decided to take a short break. I have a function to attend on 1st september so i’ll save my effort for then.. hehe my bro’s getting engaged and i intend on looking great as ever as this will go down in my family history.

I’ve manage to put on some extra pounds lately every since i stopped gym. Sad, i know but it was something i had to do. Altough i have a mini gym at my apartment i have yet to venture anywhere near it. That’s when i came across this blogsite on lemon detox diet. Now i know what this diet is as i’ve tried it before but i only lasted for 3 - 4 days. It’s really is not as thats what many people say, and it’s true. I know since i’ve tried. But i’m giving it a shot again.

Its a simple recipe as follows:
Two tablespoons (or 20 ml) of maple syrup.
Two tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice. (Use fresh lemons, not lemon drink or concentrate)
Half a pinch of cayenne pepper (adjust to taste) - Some recipes call for ginger
Mix the ingredients and dilute with at least 250ml of hot or cold water.

Drink ideally 6 to 9 glasses a day or whenever you feel hungry.

So i’ll be making my way to the nearest supermarket to get my supplies and shall start on my lemon detox diet from tomorrow onwards. I’ll be updating my blog to show on my progress.

This, i would like to be known as my first official attemp at styling someone, (its my mom actually nonetheless i treated her like how any professional would :P) the occasion was for a relations 60th birthday celebration. I styled her from head to toe, including her hair, make up, clothes and accessories.

01. The front and back view of the not bad at all for a first time hair do. I’ve never used velcro hair rollers before so i had my reservations but i must say i’m very pleased with the result. Not much heat was applied which is good for the hair. All i did was blow dry the damp hair, which an anti frizz hair serum was applied to before since her hair tend to be frizzy. After drying, i placed curlers in place and allowed it to set overnight. Refer to this tutorial for guidance (they used hot rollers but i tried it with velcro ones ). A simple process which took me about an hour to do.

02. The rattan clutch which is suitable for any day functions or even night functions depending on how you match and pair it with the whole look. Since it was a day affair it not suitable to carry a flash or heavily embellished clutch.

03. & 04. Inspiration came from these beautiful clutches from Kotur. They come in a variety of colour but the natural wood colour ones are the best.

05. The Basket Bag my mom used to carry to work when she was a teacher back in her younger days. It is still in good condition except its missing a cover which was removed to re-use it now as a flower arrangement basket. How creative.

This weekend will be an eventfull one. Putting my design and stylist skills to good use. The victim none other then my beloved mother. But i’m sure she’ll have a blast of a time herself. Mom grew up with 5 boys in her family and with her own family she had 3 boys. She’s been surrounded by boys and you can’t blame her if its rubbed of her a little.. but looking back from the photos’s of her back in her younger days i cant helf but admire her sense of style. Shoe may not be a fashionista back then but somehow she has a sense of style. I will post the picture up sometime soon. She has this red rattan basket like bag she used to carry to work and i have to say i like her sense of style.. but its sad that i dont see that side of her now but i’d like to see it come out.. My mom is almost 60 and if i can tastefully style her and help her find that person she was once before… then i know where i stand with my skill.. i will post up pics of my weekend escapades next week.. till then i shall be excited as ever..

Friendship between men and women has always met with mixed remark when discussed. Is it hard for men and women to have a normal platonic relationship? When a guy cares for another lady, where is the line to how much should he care for her as a friend? Is a friendship between man and woman the same as a couple just minus the sex and romance? Would it be wrong for a guy to romance a lady without anything physical or sexual and yet remain friends. These question would leave even Einstein baffled so i am not going to even try answering them. Futhermore is does not effect me in anyway since i’m don’t belong to any of the category above.

Recently, a female colleague of mine ended a close friendship of 13 years after the guy confessed to having feelings for her all along. She was bursting in tears when i walked into her room and i just stood there and froze. I stood there a while thinking what to say but left since i tought she just needs sometime to herself. When she explained the situation to me, i was searching for the right thing to say but i didnt know what. Loosing a friend like this must hurt in ways i can’t think of. What was the right thing to say?

The first week of 2008 has already passed by with the blink of an eye. I’m wondering if this is a good start for me this year with things being unsettling at work and the lack or rather no activity in my personal life. Maybe the year for me is to start out with a blank canvas. Start everything afresh and new. How possible can this be when my past still haunts me?

its was long ago that i wrote down here that i was going to kick start the year 2008 with a bang and this is sure one hell of a soft bang… hardly a bang i would say. But I’m back… at least that’s a start right.. many things had been happening lately… Imissed an opportunity in applying for a job in a fashion merchandising company, a rather important and famous one here in Malaysia. Just when i got serious about it and they closed the job application. It was rather a sad day for me when i found out. Well the job hunt continues. 

I’ve manage to sew a scarf or rather a… wait I’m not sure whats its called. I’m sure its not a scarf, that sound a bit girlie for something a guy would wear around his neck. this i would consider my first foray into the serious world of fashion. I’m planning to construct this new dress i design. I’ll post some pictures up when its done.
